CIPET Bhopal was established in 1988 and located near to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. The Bhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh-the heart of India and known as city of lakes combines scenic beauty, historicity and modern urban planning. The city is fast growing as Educational Hub of the country. CIPET centre is built in the campus area of 6 acres. The Govt. of M.P. has sanctioned additional 11 acres of land for expansion of CIPET activities. The Building is divided into three Blocks.

The centre is providing training, technical and consultancy services in Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tool Room, Plastic Processing and Testing. The centre is consistently progressing and provided placement of trainees through campus interview. The Testing Labs of the centre is accredited by NABL in the field of Mechanical, Chemicals testing of Plastic Materials & products as per ISO /IEC 17025-2005.

The Testing Lab is recognized by Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) for Testing and evaluation of Plastic - materials and products for 45 standards.

The Plastic Testing Centre is well equipped with modern Plastic Testing facilities for undertaking mechanical, thermal, chemical and electrical property of polymeric materials and products like pipes, films, containers, meter boxes, automobiles, telecom component, medical items etc. The centre is recognized by leading National and Government agencies such as BIS, ICD Customs, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, DGS&D, Deptt. of Science & Technology, Railtel Corporation of India Ltd.,, BSNL, State Govt. of M.P, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra etc. Election Commission of India, RITES, FCI, Central Warehousing Corp. etc. for testing and quality control of plastic materials and products.

CIPET centre Bhopal is recognized for third party inspection for plastic products like PVC, HDPE pipes/films, HDPE Ducts, Roto-moulded tank procured by State and Central Govt. agencies.

Design and Development of Moulds and Dies through CAD/CAM and CNC machines. Facilities of imported CNC Milling / EDM / Lathe/VMC and other important non-CNC machines in tool-room to undertake job/Mould orders of Plastic and Allied Industries.

Plastics Processing Workshop has broad range of conventional machines such as Microprocessor/CNC controlled Injection Moulding machines, Automatic & Semi-automatic injection moulding machines, Compression/Transfer Moulding Press, High Frequency Welding machines, Automatic Blow Moulding, Rotational Moulding, Micro-Tubing/Profile Plant, Heat sealing and other important machines for practical training and job orders.

The centre offer consultancy on Design and Development of Moulds and Dies, Processing of material and compounds, Recycling and Waste management, Development of specifications for plastic products for new application, Projects on new setup of Tool/Room/Processing units and Testing laborites for plastics. Trouble shooting for processing of plastics.
