CIPET centre in Rajasthan is approved by the Tenth Planning Commission in 2006 & is being established at Sitapura Industrial Area, Jaipur with the 50:50 contributions from the State and Central Government. The Civil Construction work of the proposed CIPET Building Complex at the 12.29 acres of allotted land at Sitapura is under progress.

CIPET Centre at Sitapura, Jaipur has become operational with all facilities in the rented premises and started conducting Long Term Courses from the Academic Year 2006-07 and at present three Long Term Courses i.e. Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT), Diploma/Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT/PD-PMT) & Diploma/Post Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT/PD-PT) are offered at the Centre. Also, the Centre is conducting specialized Operator Training Programmes on Injection Moulding and Extrusion for the benefit of educated unemployed youth of the State and the Plastic Industries.

There are approximately 1500 Plastics processing units in the State of Rajasthan and there is potential for further growth of plastics & allied industries. CIPET centre at Jaipur is offering Technical Services in various disciplines Design, Tooling, Processing, Testing & Inspection to the local Plastics Industries and playing a major role in the development of Plastic Industries in & around Rajasthan.

The Design and CAD/CAM departments are facilitated with the latest softwares for imparting effective training on product and mould design. The department provides following services to the plastic & allied industries:

Tool Room at CIPET Jaipur center is well equipped with Imported CNC machinery & Conventional Machines and are used for Manufacturing of moulds, Machining job works and manufacturing of standard mould bases.

Plastics processing department has broad range of practical training facilities in the form of conventional processing machines as well as modern micro processor controlled processing machines. In addition to the training activities, the processing division is also competent enough to undertake mould proving and moulding job works. The following customer services are provided by the processing division:

• Job assignments on moulding of Plastics products and proving of moulds

• Tailor made/modular training programmes on the specific topics as per the requirement of    Plastics industry

• Organize Awareness/Orientation & Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) on    “Plastics Processing Techniques”

• Consultancy & advisory services to the Plastics industries on “Trouble shooting of processing    defects” and “Improvement in Productivity”

• Consultancy services to the new entrepreneurs on “Setting up of a Plastics processing    industry”

The Plastics Testing Centre (PTC) of CIPET Jaipur is well equipped and fully devoted for fulfilling the objectives of offering best services to the plastic industries by undertaking assignments of Plastics materials/products testing as per the National and International standards. PTC have all the modern equipment with the State-of-Art technology to match with the International standards of testing procedures and methodology. PTC at CIPET follows the guidelines of NABL and BIS and are recognized for conducting plastic material and product testing.
