SHORT TERM SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The National Policy on Skill Development formulated by the Government of India aims to create a skilled nation with the youths empowered with improved skills, knowledge and internationally recognized qualifications to gain access to National / International employment and ensure India's competitiveness in the dynamic Global Labour market.

CIPET's mission is in line with the National Policy on Petrochemicals Sector in Skill Development - to increase trained manpower for catering to the demand of the industry and thus in turn increasing employability while contributing towards the Nation's growth. In order to cater to the needs of the ever-growing Plastics and allied industries nationally, CIPET has evolved a range of training programs. This has made us one of the Nationally recognized institute to provide workforce training which combines Skill Development Training Programs (SDTP) and Skill Upgradation Programs (SUP).

Skill Development Training Programs (SDTP): CIPET's Skill Development Training Programs / Qualifications (37 Nos.) are aligned as per National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and approved by National Skills Qualifications Committee (NSQC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Govt. of India which are available in National Qualification Register (www.nqr.gov.in ) and the same is maintained by National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).

CIPET has been recognized as an Awarding Body (AB) & Assessment Agency (AA) under Dual recognition by National Council of Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India for conducting NSQF aligned (Level 1 to 4 / list ) and NSQC approved Skill Development Training Program at its centres.

In line to above, CIPET's Skill Development Training Programs are conducted for the benefit of underprivileged / unemployed youth / Socially / Economically Weaker Section of the Society in the Country for getting gainful employment. Further, these training programs are resulting in providing skilled (trained) manpower to the Petrochemical & Plastics / Polymer and allied industries suiting to their requirement and achieve the economic growth of the Country.

CIPET is regularly conducting the Skill Development Training Programs (Short-term) with the support of various Ministries / State Skill Development Missions / Govt. Departments / PSUs / Private Organizations for the benefit of their respective target group / beneficiaries across the country.

Skill Training Programs – Salient Features

• 20-30% Theory Sessions and 70-80% Practical Sessions.
• Tutorials (personal attention)
• Lectures, assisted with models and multimedia aids
• Interactive sessions
• Hands-on practical exposure on the state-of-the-art equipment/machinery
• Industrial visits
• Additional inputs on Soft skills and personality development
• Guest lecturers from industrial experts
• All the participants will be provided uniform, shoes and training kit.
• Course completion certificate will be issued to trainee by CIPET on their successful completion of the course
• Exclusive placement / job counseling
• Additional support of post placement

On successfully completion of the training program CIPET supports in providing employment to about 80% of the candidates in the Petrochemicals / Plastics Processing and allied industries. The major impact of these Skill Development Training Programs are upliftment of socio-economic status of the trainee's as well as their families. The competency skill level of the trainees are improved suiting to the current demand and requirement of the industries.

Skill Upgradation Programs: CIPET also regularly conducts Skill Up-gradation Programs (SUP) for the benefit of individual as well as employees who are working in the industries. These skill upgradation training programs provides the participants to enhance, enrich & update the skill technology suiting to the recent development in the industry.

The Skill Up-gradation Programs (SUP) are conducted in the categories of:

• Regular programs for individual & group of students
• CAD/CAM programs for students / individual / freshers
• Onsite / Tailor-made / Modular programs for persons working in industry
• In-plant / Exposure programs for final year college students / persons working in industry
• Specialized Programs for working Professionals
• Seminars / Re-Skilling on Waste Management (Plastics / e-Waste)
• Training program for Academia / Industry representatives

Excellence Award: Excellence Award for Outstanding performance in implementation of Skilling Programs under Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi (PM-DAKSH) Yojana from the Hon'ble Union Minister of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India and Hon'ble Minister of State (MoS) of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India on 7^th August, 2021 at New Delhi.

Performance Award: Performance Award under Pradhan Mantri Dakshta Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi (PM-DAKSH) Yojana received from National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE), Govt. of India on 8^th February, 2023 at New Delhi.
