Leadership and Motivation are the key factors in organizational behaviour and plays a vital role in achieving the goals and objectives of the organization. The new government has put a lot of emphasis on Good Governance (Minimum Government - Maximum Governance) through a number of schemes e.g. Digital India, MyGov, Swachh Bharat Campaign, Skill Development etc. and to stimulate growth in manufacturing sector through "Make in India". In order to achieve these objectives, the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers had organized a two day workshop on "Leadership and Motivation" for the Officers from the department, Senior Management of PSUs and Institutes under the administrative control of the department at Lavasa, near Pune on January 16 & 17, 2015.

The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Hon'ble Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. The programme was conducted by Sr. Faculty from Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Ahmedabad and organized by CIPET on behalf of the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals.
