This International Conference on Advancements in Polymeric Materials, APM 2013, Innovation in Materials and Product Development was organized by Advanced Research School for Technology and Product Simulation (ARSTPS), R&D wing of CIPET, from March 1-3, 2013 at CIPET Lucknow.

The Conference was inaugurated by Shri Indrajit Pal, I.A.S., Secretary to the Govt. of India, Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers and President, CIPET Governing Council, along with Smt. Neelkamal Darbari, I.A.S., Joint Secretary (PC), Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, Shri Mukul Singhal, I.A.S., Principal Secretary, SSI & Export Promotion, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Shri S.K.Ray, Senior Vice President, Reliance Polymers and other esteemed dignitaries.

Eminent Scientists, Renowned Researchers and Student participants from 06 foreign countries like USA, Australia, Singapore, Brazil, Malaysia, Germany, etc. The technical sessions constituted of 11 plenary lectures, 65 invited lectures and 100 oral presentations in the areas of CAD/CAM, Reverse Applications, Rapid Prototyping, Finite Element Methods & Analysis, Simulation & Modeling Techniques, Surface Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Techniques & Processes, Computations for materials and manufacturing, optimization techniques, Polymer Synthesis, bio-composites, Green Composites, High Performance Polymers, etc.
