Technical Seminar on "Plastics Recycling and Waste Management" was organized on 26^th August, 2013 at Amritsar. The Seminar was inaugurated by Shri Indrajit Pal, I.A.S., Secretary to the Govt. of India, Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers and President - CIPET Governing Council. The speakers briefed on the following topics:

• Plastics Waste Management challenges & Opportunities
• E-Waste Management
• Recycling of tetra Pack Packaging & its value addition
• Recclying of Engineering Polymers - Nylon / PET & PBT / PC
• Solid & Plastics Waste management - abiological approach
• Application of Plastics

A panel discussion was organised under the chairpersonship of Shri Indrajit Pal, I.A.S., Secretary to Govt. of India, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals. Around 280 participants from various State Government offices, Central Government, NGOs, etc. attended the Seminar.
