SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES:
CIPET conducts various Short Term / Vocational / Skill Development programmes / courses in the area of Plastics Processing, Testing, Design & Tool Room for
various duration under various Govt. Sponsored Schemes, CSR sponsored activities from various organisations. In line with NSQF guidelines following skill
development programmes are conducted:
Skill & Knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development. Countries with higher & better levels of skills adjust more effectively to
the challenges and opportunities of globalisation. The shortage of skilled labour across many industries is emerging as a significant and complex challenge
to India's future growth. The demand for skilled individuals in both private as well as the public sector in India is growing exponentially in this era of
economic growth and investment. There is a growing need to increase employability through skill development programmes as evidenced by strong market linkages,
institute industry coordination, specialized skill development, continuous learning, etc., The National Policy on Skill Development formulated by the Government
of India aims to create a workforce empowered with improved skills, knowledge and internationally recognized qualifications to gain access to decent employment
and ensure India's competitiveness in the dynamic Global Labour market.
CIPET's mission is in line with the National Policy on Petrochemicals - to increase trained manpower for catering to the demand of the industry and thus in
turn increasing employability while contributing towards the nation's growth. In order to cater to the needs of the ever-growing Plastics and allied industries
nationally, CIPET has evolved a range of training programs.This has made us one of the only nationally recognized institute to provide workforce training which
combines Vocational Training Programs with Industry Skills Updating Programs.
In this direction, we have various vocational training and skill development programs that we conduct for individuals as well as employees of Industries.
These are in the areas of:
- Design
- Tooling
- CAD / CAM / CNC Program
- Product Development
- Processing of Plastics
- Machine Maintenance
- Testing and Quality Improvement
These skill development programmes conducted at CIPET centres are National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) aligned and approved by National Skills Qualifications Committee (NSQC).
National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF): The National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) is a quality assurance framework that organizes all qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude. These levels are graded from one to ten and facilitate mobility between vocational and general education by alignment of degrees. It standardizes nationally acceptable outcomes of training across the country through a national quality assurance framework.
National Skills Qualifications Committee (NSQC): The National Skills Qualifications Committee(NSQC)functions include approving NOSs/QPs, approving accreditation norms, prescribing guidelines to address the needs of disadvantages sections, reviewing inter-agency disputes and alignment of NSQF with international qualification frameworks.
Apart from above, CIPET conducts Skill courses for ITI/Diploma/Degree students in CAD/CAM/CAE area which includes the AutoCAD, Pro-E, CATIA, NXb, Unigraphics, Solid Works, Solid Edge, Ansys, CNC machine Programming on Lathe / Milling / EDM / WEDM.
